FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about taking care of your original Kaylarae pieces.

ORIGINAL ART

DOES ALL ARTWORK COME WITH HANGING HARDWARE?

Artwork that weights over 10lbs includes heavy duty hanging hardware already installed to the back of each piece!
All other artworks can be easily and safely hung from the wood canvas edge using a simple drywall hanging kit.

HOW DO I CARE FOR MY ART PIECE?

Using glass or countertop cleaner, simply wipe down your resin art with a microfiber cloth to remove dust and other particulates. DO NOT let sharp or scratchy materials come in contact with your resin!! Despite resin being crack and shatter resistant, sharp materials can result in often irreversible damage to the surface.

WILL THE RESIN COLORS CHANGE OVERTIME?

t is true that most epoxy resins will yellow overtime due to UV exposure, however, the resin I use includes both UV and Hindered Amine light stabilization. In other words, this technology makes it much more difficult for the resin to yellow over time. To ensure your artwork does not show such aging, we suggest you hang your piece in an area that has indirect sunlight.

GRAZING BOARDS

IS RESIN FOOD SAFE?

Yes! Its true! The resin I use passes food safety tests and can be safely used as a food contact surface. This means that when properly used, the resin will not leach into any substance that the resin comes in contact with. This resin has been tested by a third party for leaching and migration across worldwide standards and regulations and PASSED every test. In other words, The resin I use is fully inert when cured. Be sure to thoroughly clean your grazing board before and after use!

DO YOU TAKE CUSTOM GRAZING BOARD ORDERS?

Due to high demand, I am not offering custom grazing board orders at this time. Be sure to subscribe to my newsletter for updates on collection release dates, as well as early access to the collection drops!

HOW DO I CLEAN/CARE FOR MY GRAZING BOARD?

Cleaning your grazing board is just like cleaning any wooden cooking utensil. Gently wash with warm soap and water and dry immediately. Do not place your grazing board in the dishwasher or soak in water, as this will encourage the wood to become warped over time! All grazing boards are food safe and hand sealed with hot beeswax and natural mineral oils upon completion. We suggest you apply our Signature 100% handmade Signature Board Wax after every other use, or once every few months if not in use. This keeps the wood soft and conditioned, which allows the board to be enjoyed for years to come! Click HERE to order our Signature Board Wax!

CAN I USE A KNIFE ON RESIN?

While it is entirely possible to cut your charcuterie on the resin, we highly recommend you leave the cutting to the wood surface only! We use a high-quality resin that will show scratches if cut on that are irreversible.

THE WOOD ON MY BOARD SEEMS DRY, HOW DO I FIX THIS?

All grazing boards are food safe and hand sealed with hot beeswax and natural mineral oils upon completion. We suggest that you apply our Signature 100% handmade Signature Board Wax after every other use, or once every few months if not in use. WHAT KIND OF WOOD IS MY BOARD MADE FROM?

Our grazing boards are made from a locally and sustainable sourced balsam poplar wood. We enjoy working with this wood very much, as the wood grain varies in size and color, making each board 100% unique.

HOW HEAVY IS MY GRAZING BOARD?

Depending on the sizes, our grazing boards range from 1-3 pounds, making them light and easy for transport to your picnics or events!
